I am so excited to be the featured blogger for SITS today (although I'm typing this Tuesday night.) I hope you all have a cup of hot tea (or hot cocoa, coffee, etc. - whatever your preference!) to enjoy while peeking around my blog. In my opinion, everything is better when accompanied by tea.
If you want to know a little more surrounding the author of this blog: I'm going on 6 years of marriage with my fantastic husband. I enjoy any time I can spend with him, which is something we try to make a priority. We feel the best thing we can do for our marriage and our children is to make sure our marriage comes before them. This way our kiddos are seeing a healthy marriage modeled AND realizing that they are not the center of our lives (in hopes of preventing them from growing up to be selfish stinkers.) And, really, how could I ever turn down time with the man who thinks I'm the most gorgeous woman (he must be blinded with love...)
Speaking of the kiddos, we have two children, Noah and Eleanor (Ellie.) If you have any advice for how to handle "the three's" (which have turned out to be comparable to "the terrible twos"), I welcome it. Seriously, though, my children are a joy in those moments when I'm not wanting to lock myself in the bathroom for thirty seconds of alone time. =) Who knew you could love so much? I would love to post pictures of them besides the ones on the header, but due to crazy laptop problems (see a couple posts below), they are all sitting on an external hard drive at the moment. You'll just have to trust me when I say my husband is a hottie and my kids are adorable.
My faith in the Lord is extremely important to me and I make no apologies for it. He has made me a new creation in Him and I have never known such peace and comfort in life. I am an ever changing work in progress, but my God is unchanging as He shapes me. My marriage is centered on Him and I think the most important responsibility I hold as a parent is raising my children to love and know the Lord.
Because I love to do "old lady" hobbies such as knitting, crocheting, baking and sewing, we are shaking things up a little on this blog and having "March CraftMadness" where all month long different crafty things are being featured daily. As for non-crafty things, I love reading and wish I loved working out. Our family could live in the water if given the option and when summer rolls around we spend the majority of our days outside and weekends at the beach. How much longer do I have to wait, again?
Thanks for stopping by and I will try to reply to your comments as much as naptimes allow me!

There's many a day I want to lock myself in the computer room and check out for awhile. Sounds like you and your hubby are doing a great job though!

happy SITS day!
Congrats on being the FB. I have one son who is five months old. He is great but I already know that he will be a handful soon. By the way, your kids are so cute.
I have always found the 3's to be harder then the 2's! However...just keep in mind they grow up way too fast and you'll long for them to be 3 again. Seriously...you will!! LOL (mine are all past 3 so I know of what I speak...does that convince you? hehe...nah, me either!)
To get through the here and now? Take lots of pictures and think of the stinky moments as blog material!! ;)
Happy SITS day, congrats!
congratulations on your feature day over at SITS! you have a beautiful family, your little ones are just adorable. i am just getting myself into crafting a bit more, so i may just stick around :)
Congrats on being the in SITS spotlight! I've enjoyed roaming your blog, I think I may just have to get the "Stitch N Bitch" book, I've always wanted to learn how to knit! Have a great day!

Good Morning and congrats on being featured at SITS.
Your blog header is adorable. It makes me smile.
Thank you for sharing your Faith in God. It warms my heart to hear that your family, marriage and life are centered around Him.
There is no other way to live in my book! You Rock!
Since you love Baking, stop on by blog and check out the sweet stuff there. :)
Congrats on being the featured artist. I am right there with you on the Terrible Three's. Two's were a breeze for my now 3 yr ol, but Lord I think it has all caught up with him now!
Great feature post! I know all about those 3's. Thought 2's were tough, 3's were a whole differnt ball game. I like your writing. It flows very nicely and is enjoyable to read.
Congrats on your SITS day! You have a beautiful family. My husband and I also tried to put our marriage first and our children second. We tried to model what a good marriage should be as an example to our children. In return, we had a very good marriage. Darrell died 3 years ago, so I sometime wonder what my children will remember about our marriage, but it has spoiled ME when I think about a future relationship. I've had great. I won't settle for less.
Congrats on being a Featured Blogger! How exciting? How long did it take to big in the Numbero Uno spot?
Looking forward to reading more :)
Oh! And stop by my blog for my FIRST GIVEAWAY: A Martha Stewart Loving magazine subscription!

I've got my coffee :)
Happy SITS Day!
Forgot to add-for all my kids-the
3's were much more trying than the
2's.
ADVICE FOR THE "3'S"--"THIS TOO SHALL PASS"! GLAD TO HAVE FOUND YOUR BLOG, AND HAPPY SITS DAY!
Happy Spotlight day!!! You have a beautiful family!
Congrats on being featured blogger today!! I love your outlook on your marriage! I shoulda took that approach 7 years ago but it's hard when you have a child from a previous relationship that blends into a marriage...but now that explains why he may be so selfish now, lol! Great blog! I'll be back!
Hey I still have my contest up from yesterday and it is Great! My giveaway is valued at over $45!! Swing on by!
I like 'old lady' hobbies, too..lol! You have a precious family!
Enjoyed your introduction:) I like to hear about how important time with just your husband is to being models for your children. I am newly married and I hope my husband and I will demonstrate that one day. Can't wait for the craft segments!
Congrats on being the featured blogger! Your children are adorable!
Happy day of SITS love & comments!
congratulations!!! ver cute blog!
blessings...
Congrats on being featured SITSta!
I love your attitude girl! I'm a grandma now after raising my own children and married again and raising 3 more, talk about insane!! You will definetly live through the toddler stage I promise you! Seven yrs ago when I married my second hubby my stepdaughter Amanda was only 4. She was attached to my hip, if I went to the bathroom and closed the door, she would look through the key hole, and ask me what I was doing!! At least for now you have the bathroom to retreat too!! I loved your post!!
I came over here from SITS. The only advice I can give on the 3s, is use those time outs. Three is worse than two, in my opinion. You just have to get through them with love, patience and timeouts.
Happy SITS day! I thought the threes were harder than the twos.
Please stop by my blog, Eat at Home and leave a comment today. Each comment is worth $1 for the Global Food Crisis fund and all you have to do is comment. SITS girls are great at that!
Happy SITS day!
Love your header too! The kids do look adorable but I know how the "3" can be having a 4 year old now and I promise it will get better and soon! Keep up the good work and I look forward to reading you again.
Congrats on being the FB!
Your children are adorable. I also found that three was harder than two for my son. My daughter will be two next week and I'm getting worried because she's already a bit on the...erm..spirited side.
congratulations on your SITS :)
and im laughing that you lock yourself in the bathroom too... i have a 7 year old and a 3.5 year old, if i had any advice for the crazy threes, i would give it - but, well... you know.
Good morning!
Visiting from SITS.
I love crafting too - I'm going to have to read your posts to check out your handiwork.
You have a beautiful family, a beautiful outlook anda great blog!
I wish I could help you with the terrible 3's....I went through it with my 4 year old..but now we are in the terrible 4's with him and the terrible 2's with my daughter..the reality is that when they are smiling..it doens't feel so terrible..it's only when they are pulling toys out of each others hands and screaming at the top of their lungs that I wonder when Calgon is going to take me away!
Cheers on being FB!
Congrats on being the featured blogger!!
I also crochet, it's so relaxing for me :). As for the "three's" Good Luck! Our "three's" were so much worse than "two's" and no one warns you about them!!
Can't wait to check out the rest of your blog.
Happy Day, congrats on the spotlight!
Yay for you! Super cute blog. So glad that you are featured.
Great intro of yourself!
I also wanted to cry when I read your "Two Years, Too Old" post. My daughter just turned two a week ago and I am so feeling all those things.
Warning: I will be back :)
Happy SITS day to you. I really like the way you think about your marriage. When you do have children it can change things but if you do like you said I think things will fall into place.
don't get too crazy with shakin' things up :D
carma
Congrats on your SITS day!!
I'd love to be able to tell you that the 3's get easier but my big twins recently turned 4 and it seems to be escalating even more than the 2's and 3's. Although a friend of mine has assured me that when they hit age 5, it all calms down. My little twins just turned 2 yesterday so I'm in the midst of a lot of "fun" right now (insert sarcasm!!)
I'll check back in later to read some other posts!
Congrats on the feature day... Your children are precious!! My two are way past 3...But I agree with most of the girls....The 3's were far worse for mine than the 2's were?!?!
I completely agree with the bible studies/sermons at church. I am going to a new church because I recently moved and so far they seem to focus on life studies/sermons. I am ready to dig into the bible!!!
Good luck with the laptop, I hope it continues to work great with no problems!!!
Happy SITS Day!
I have a 3-year-old and a 3-month-old. I agree. 3 is way worse than 2. Good luck with that. HAHA!
OK - we'd be fast friends... I too am a knitter & have such a passion for the Lord!!! I'm marking you down right now so I can return!
Happy SITS day!
Nice to meet you!!! happy Saucy Sits Day!
Holy lot of comments! You're famous!
Congrats on your SITS day! And I think you are wise beyond your years. What an amazing introduction.
Congrats on being Featured Blogger!

Congratulations on being the featured SISTa. I love that you put your marriage 1st and kids 2nd. My hubby have it all backwards and the kids come 1st. From what I can see you have a beautiful family. Have a great day! :)
I absolutely LOVE your Tasty Tuesdays posts...I will have to try some of those..thanks!
The SITS girls were right, your header is awesome. Congrats on your SITS day.
Congrats on your SITS day!! You have a beautiful family!!
I agree with raising kids to know the Lord. It has made hard life situations a little more bareable and easier to explain to them. I'm newbie and coming from SITS - great FB!
Congrats on being the FB.
And now I am scared about "the three's" because I am about to enter the terrible twos and hoping that at three I would get a break.
Congrats on your feature over at SITS.
Advice for getting through the terrible 3's...count down the days until 4 rolls around. :)
Came to say hi from SITS. Enjoy your day of being featured! I'm off to do some reading...
Congrats! Have a great SITS day!
Fun! Blog o' the day! I have a daughter in the "threes" and I agree that they are just an extension of the twos. :)
The terrible two's go to the evil three's then to the whiny four's and the nasty five's...sorry:)
But! As "they" say, this too shall pass. And usually all too quickly. Enjoy all the moments!
Congrats on being featured over at SITS! Hope you have a great day!
Congrats on your SITS day! Cute blog :)
Stopping by from SITS to say "Hi"
Happy SITS day! I look forward to reading your blog and getting to know you.

Just finished reading your posts featured on SITS. You are an awesome writer! I'm your newest subscriber, and I can't wait to read more. :)
Hi from sits! Congrats on your blog, especially after a day like yesterday!
I was reading through some of your posts, and the one about jogging caught my attention. You said you are from Fowlerville. I totally have 2 good friends from there. I'm not sure if they're your same age. Their names are Scott Philburn and Kim (Syracruse) Philburn. Anyway, I thought that was a very cool coincidence!!!
Rachel
Your blog is fabulous! Congrats on your super fun SITS day!
yeah!!! Like I commented on the third featured post, I have so enjoyed your selected posts and have added you to my list of fav blogs!! So refreshing to find another young mom after the heart of God!!
Oh and I agree, threes are much worse than terrible twos!! But we survived, I have a 4 yr old
Congratulations on your SITS day!
I especially liked your post about Noah turning 2 years old. Very moving. And well-written!
Enjoy your day!
- Margaret
hope you enjoy your day. and so refreshing to see people focused on their marriage - after all a solid marriage builds a solid home. and isn't that what everyone wants for their children?
I read comments during naptime, too. LOL!
Congrats on being the featured blogger. I think we have alot in common..'specially the love for 'old lady crafts' I'm teaching myself how to knit and crochet. I also love cross stitching. I look forward to reading more of your blogs. Have a good day!
Hey SITSta,
Congrats on being the FB. Wonderful blog and what a blessed woman. Cheers!
i wish you well in reading all of these posts (over 100 as i write this) ... i read your chosen posts and really enjoyed them - nice work! i, too am a FANATIC of a reader and can't go a day without reading. i LOVE that you put your marriage first - it really is the way to be the best parent (and person) possible. this is even more true when your marriage is built on the rock of god and not the sandy foundation of worldliness. i like the way god/scriptures are woven into your posts - because it means he is integral to your life, too. looking forward to reading more of your blog over the next few days!
Isn't nap time the best? It's such a great ME time...although I guess my house would like some of my time, too. So, if you don't comment back, no worries.
The terrible threes, btw, are never mentioned because of the extreme horror of them! :)
what a beautiful blog! happy SITS day! i too am a christan women and proud of it!
two's...i'm there now with my son. everyday is something new! can't wait for 3's...UGH!
Congratulations on being featured! I love that you don't make any apologies for your faith! I'm glad to have a SITSta & a sister in the Lord!
Enjoy the love!
Congrats on being saucy! I don't have wise tips for you on handling the threes, but I've been through it 3 times and I can promise you it gets better:)
I also think everything is better while drinking tea.
Very cute site! You did a wonderful job on it and your children are sooooo adorable!!
Congrats on being Saucy today! I love your blog!
Congrats! Your header IS absolutely adorable and your kids are so cute!
Happy SITS day! The "threes" have always been worse for me than the twos. Fortunately my older two kids made it through, but there were some really stressful days. Just try to focus on the positive, especially on days when it's hard.
Happy SITS day!!!
Happy SITS day! I am a crocheter too. Its okay to have old lady hobbies as long as you look hip doing it. And I would b nowhere without my faith. Stay strong in your faith always. :)
Hello, congrats on being a featured blogger! You have a very pretty blog! I look forward to seeing more!
Nice to meet you! Your children are adorable and I love your wedding picture. That honeydew soup recipe looks divine, I am going to try it. Thanks!

What a lovely blog. I really love your outlook on marriage and parenting. Congrats on being featured!
Both of my older daughters were great at two but not so much at three...they may take a while getting warmed up I guess!
Congrats on your feature day! While I don't have any kiddos... I too really enjoy the "old lady" hobbies of knitting, sewing and quilting. :-) I can't wait to read more from you!
Your blog is so cute! As for the those three's......I always tell people complaining about the terrible two's that they haven't had a three yet.
Hang in there. Age four is a gift. Everything will just settle down and he won't feel like he has to fight you so much.
I wish I had advice on the Terrible Threes, to give you! I think the best advice is, is that you have time and to just relax and not take anything too seriously. :)
Happy SITS Day, to you!!!!!
Looking forward to checking out your blog! I love all things crafty too so will be checking in on your daily craftiness!
Happy SITS day. I am enjoying your blog immensely!
the blog header sure is cute! great post!

Love the fact that you are a Christian and cool about it!! :)
Congrats on your SITS Day! Great blog, I can't wait to read more.
Am I too late to wish you a happy day? Congrats!!
Oh , wonderful three's , I have found that the more they are able to communicate the better it gets. Engage them in decision making and choices, (not really choices since you really pick for them, but they feel bigger). I share your faith in God and know that He is my sustaining power and offers me wisdom in all thing most especially parenting. I have a mommy blog as well as a biz blog , stop buy for my mommy moments.
I love your blog! My little girl is also named Elly, though with a "y", and is named after her grandmother Eleanor!!
Congrats! I'm new to SITS, but enjoyed checking out your blog! Don't feel alone...three was so much worse than two it wasn't even funny!! But, 4 has been much, much better, so hold out...there's hope :)
Congrats on being featured. I love the pics of your kids.. adorable.
I was going to sign your followers list.. you don't have one :(
Come visit me when you get a chance...
Congrats to you!
Wow...those are a lot of comments. Congrats, your blog was a good read. Your posts are funny, insightful and inspiring. My advice for the terrible 4's..playdates, playmates, and anything else that tires them out by 6pm. Oh and video, photo, or document as much as you can, they trully are a hoot at this age. I will start following your blog, as soon as i figure out how to follow.
I'm sorry I'm late -- that's becoming the story of my life : )
I really enjoyed reading your blog. I'm craft challenged! I'm a good cook/baker but but the rest... I'm looking forward to your March craft features. Hopefully it will inspire me : )
Stand up strong, Christian sister!
Enjoy your children, they grow up way too fast. I can't believe how quickly the time went by... My oldest is getting married next month.
God bless.
e

Congratulations on your SITS day! How exciting!
I have "old lady" interests too! I'm 33 and I'm in a monthly book-club where I am the youngest by 40 years at least! At least they are all a hoot.
It's wonderful that you've been featured today and I think it's absolutely fantastic that you put your faith out there for all to see!!
I have to ask...what is SITStas?
I'm a little late, but I hope you had a great SITS day!
